Modern Hardwood Floor Service (Frank) did the most incredible job refinishing my floors. Frank has a great eye for detail and even mixed two stain colors to get the color I wanted. Frank was professional, prompt, kept the space very clean, was mindful of noise, and respectful of our time. Prior to meeting with Frank, I asked two other places about refinishing my floors and they were not able to do it. I live in Old Town Alexandria in a 1000 sq ft 2-level condo with super shiny yellow/orange floating engineered hardwood floors (it looked like a basketball court). The space I wanted to refinish was only about 300-400 sq ft, but it required Frank to do it in two steps. I’m sure it wasn't easy, especially trying to work with the thin layer of hardwood on my engineered hardwood floors. Honestly, before Frank said he could do it, I wasn't even sure it could be done. But the finished product is simply amazing, it's a brown/grey stain color with a matte finish, I'm so in love with it! My place finally feels warm and cozy and you can't tell the difference between the two sections, it's completely seamless. I posted a picture of the old floor and some of the new floor.
